So we went to Memphis for this film festival. It was Debby who was also in the film (and also in "Strange & Beautiful": Debby doesn't like to walk through a door way first or cause a scene unless it's well rehearsed, and "Jenny's Got a Boyfriend": Debby is Kind of Strange!) Mike, (also of "Strange & Beautiful": Michael takes the labels off the cans he buys so when he eats its always a surprise), and me. What should have been a 3 1/2 hour car ride turned into about 5 hours due to heavy rain and heavy smoking (I wouldn't let them smoke in the car) and we literally got to the theater 20 minutes before the film started.
It was kind of neat - and uncomfortable - to see myself on film. After seeing the movie I vowed to do a zillion pushups a day because my once gymnastic toned arms now look like 2 marshmellows on the big screen.
We sat through one more film immediately after ours and boy, did we wish we hadn't. It was the kind of film that give indie films a bad name. A very bad name. There was a question and answer period after each film with the producer and I wanted to raise my hand and go, "Uh... I don't get it."
In music news... Kim and Emmy STILL haven't laid down their parts on the songs. Emmy is definitely coming in on Thursday. I don't know about Kim since she's cancelled twice now. Grrrrrr!

What I thought then... and what I think now.
